Choice and Lasting Change

"Sometimes it's the smallest decisions that can change your life forever." - Keri Russell

Lasting change requires not only relying on faith, but it also requires we make good choices.  We can set goals, communicate them, write them down and pray about them, but that's just the foundation.  We've been given free will and with that comes our responsibility to do the right thing when we have choices to make.  Galatians 6:7 says, "Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. "  Simply put, we are going to get out of any endeavor what we choose to put into it.

This is also true when it comes to our health.  We can't unexpectedly get healthy.  We have to make a very long series of good choices, day after day to achieve our health goals.  In "The Daniel Plan", Warren et. al. put it this way:  "You don't get healthy by accident.  It's intentional.  It's a choice."

Prayer and Hope in Jesus is an absolute must as the foundation for lasting change, but our part of the equation is making those, sometimes difficult, choices.  Are you ready to choose a healthier lifestyle?  Why don't you join us and thousands of others for the Advocare "All In" 24 Day challenge?

"So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." - 1 Cor 10:31

Looking for some clean eating ideas? Try this Beef Stir Fry!

After all of the heavy holiday food, we decided we wanted something cleaner tonight so my sweet hubby decided on a beef stir fry. He chopped up lots of fresh veggies

and added some lean steak we had left from earlier in the week. Doesn't it look delish???

Ingredients:
Broccoli
Red bell pepper
Onion
Yellow squash
Zucchini
Jalapeno
Bok choy
Lean beef steak (leftover from another meal)

Sauce:
Low sodium soy sauce
Ginger
Garlic
Rice vinegar
Hoisin sauce
Chili garlic sauce
(Add Tbs corn starch if you want a thicker sauce)

Saute' veggies (except bok choy), stir in beef. Add bok choy to wilt and then stir in sauce. Serve over brown rice.
